KATIE LARIMORE

COACH

Katie did not grow up an athlete, in fact, she was a gaming couch potato until she decided to focus on her health so she could keep up with her two boys at the age of 29. She fell in love with running and started a running group so she wouldn’t have to do it alone. Group fitness has always been something she has gravitated towards, and by the time she was 33, she was hooked on all things health and wellness. After losing 90 pounds and encouraging all those around her to live healthier lifestyles, Katie decided to go back to college earning a BS in Exercise Science in 2016.

Katie has coached in various capacities over the past years and enjoys helping others achieve goals they never thought possible. She has a strong passion for CrossFit and functional movement, furthering her education by obtaining her CF-L1 in 2022. She is a huge believer that you are never too old, too young, too big, or too small to try new things and set big goals for yourself.

When she isn’t at the gym, you can find her enjoying the outdoors hiking, backpacking, camping, and off-roading with her husband and two teenage boys. She’s been known for her ability to rap the entire song Regulators and has the BEST lifting facial expressions you will EVER see!

CLAY SNELLGROVE

COACH

Growing up, Clay played a variety of different sports but ultimately focused on baseball throughout high school. Clay attended MTSU on a baseball scholarship. He is a member of the MTSU Blue Raider Athletic Hall Fame (class of 2020). He was drafted by the San Diego Padres and spent 6 seasons in professional baseball. When his playing days ended, Clay experimented with different ways to stay active and fit while dealing with injuries he sustained during a decade of high-level baseball. He has owned and operated Bases Loaded Baseball and Softball School since 2003 and uses varied, functional fitness programming to remain agile, strong, and pain free while actively training hundreds of local athletes each year. Along with Reading and Writing, Health and Wellness and Longevity are Clay’s short list of passions.

BRUCE THOMAS

CO-OWNER & COACH

A husband and a father of two amazing girls, Bruce has been doing CrossFit for more than a decade, competing as a masters athlete most of that time. Bruce has established himself as one of the fittest athlete in CrossFit both nationally and internationally. He qualified for and competed in the CrossFit Regionals and realized the dream of every competitive CrossFitter by qualifying and competing in The CrossFit Games in 2018, 2019, and 2021.

The CrossFit Games are widely regarded as the world series of competitive fitness. Bruce works as the General Manager of an auto group and is a US Navy veteran. His proudest accomplishment during his Naval career was graduating from BUDS (Basic Underwater Demolition Seal) training in 2002.

Bruce is finally realizing a long held dream of opening a gym to coach and mentor others. Bruce is also a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer!

ERIN SNELLGROVE

CO-OWNER & COACH

Although Erin’s athletic career started out with Coke bottle glasses and a penchant for Snickers, she became a three sport Varsity athlete throughout high school. Her teams won 2 state titles and were a state finalist 5 more times. Erin played softball, volleyball, and basketball for Malone College. Since college, Erin has experimented with many ways to stay healthy and fit. She has run more races than she can count from 5K’s to ultra-marathons. She finished Tough Mudders and triathlons, and dabbled in yoga, aerobics and ballroom dancing. Erin discovered CrossFit in 2010. She qualified and competed in the Central East Regionals as an individual in 2012 and 2013 as well as The Legends Masters Competition in 2021 and Wodapolooza in 2022.

Using her varied experiences, Erin has discovered a recipe for staying healthy and fit, staying motivated, and feeling young! There has never been a better time for realizing her dream of owning and operating a fitness facility. She taught math for 19-years and loves dessert almost as much as she loves CrossFit, running on the trails, and hanging out with her family. Erin is also a Crossfit Level 2 Trainer!
